Anxiety – it doesn’t have to control your life.

Anxiety

                                     ANXIETY

What is ANXIETY and how does it affect us?

Anxiety, Stress, Worry, Fear are all words that can be used to describe a sensation within us that is so very uncomfortable and the sensations, feelings and emotions will be different for all of us because we are all unique individuals.   Ultimately this can be a very debilitating condition and one that can leave us feeling depressed and out of control.

Anxiety is a condition that can lead us to experience real physical symptoms such as Headaches, Heart Palpitations, Muscle tensions, Weakness, Fatigue, Insomnia, High Blood Pressure – these are just a few there are many many more.  Some will experience just one symptom but many will experience a collection of physical symptoms that can be quite frightening and which in turn fuels the anxiety and fear, leaving many feeling that they are on an endless merry-go-round.

Is Anxiety Depression?

If you take a visit to your Doctor with symptoms of Anxiety and depending on the severity of the effect of your symptoms on your everyday life, they are most like going to prescribe you with some anti-depressants.  A drug to enhance your mood and lower your metabolic system so that it is not as sensitive to outside factors such as Stress.  So does having anxiety mean that you are depressed?  Not at All – they are two very different conditions, with Anxiety your body is on high alert, usually running at a higher vibrational energy whilst being depressed is usually indicated by being of low mood and in a low energy state.  Of course this is not always the case as some Anxious people find it hard to get out of bed to face the day ahead.

Taking the anti-depressants, whilst lowering the bodies sensitivity can bring about unpleasant side effects, some of which can be more distressing than the original anxious state.  So what are the alternatives?  How can you manage this condition?

There are lots of things that you can do to help yourself with Anxiety, some of them are listed below:-

  • Mindfulness
  • Meditation
  • Yoga
  • Exercise (even a gentle stroll in nature can help)
  • Diet (including reducing alcohol and caffeine)
  • Laughing therapy

These are just a few and you can do as many as you feel you need, however my suggestion and my favourite is the use of HOMEOPATHY.

How can Homeopathy help?

Homeopathy will address the underlying root cause of your anxiety.  This will be an ongoing process as Anxiety can be complex and have many facets.  You will work closely with your Homeopath who will, through careful questioning identify layers of triggers and causations, they will work with you to address these one at a time to remove each layer to expose the next until the root cause is revealed.   The remedies given will bring balance and calm, they will enable you to deal with emotional challenges and allow you to understand why your body is reacting the way it is.  The journey is different for everyone and many different remedies may be required, but Homeopathy is a safe, gentle, non-toxic approach to this very debilitating condition.

Ultimately Anxiety is a Chronic condition and is one that does require the assistance of a Qualified Professional Homeopath.
